Mintlaw Academy is located in the village of Mintlaw, takes secondary age pupils from the Central Buchan area of Aberdeenshire.

The catchment runs from New Pitsligo and New Deer in the west to Longside in the East and from Strichen in the North to near Auchnagatt in the South.

The feeder primary schools are: Auchnagatt, Fetterangus, Kininmonth, Longside, Maud, Mintlaw, New Deer, New Pitsligo, Pitfour, Strichen and Stuartfield.
